A Game in GIFS: Blue Jays 6, Rangers 5

The Blue Jays are 15 games above .500. 15 games … can you believe that?

I’m having a hard time come to grips with it as well. A team that was one game under .500 just four weeks ago on July 27th has propelled themselves not only into a winning record, but the fifth best record in all of baseball.

Not since 1993 have the Blue Jays eclipsed that elusive 15 games above .500 mark. Their 6-5 victory was certainly a fun game to watch (especially at the end), so here are a few noteworthy plays and events in GIF form.

Jose Bautista gets it all started with this go-ahead home run to left field, his 30th of the season.

Sitting behind the plate can be a hazardous job at times. And Russell Martin had some difficulty trying to locate where the ball went after it was fouled off his mask.

Josh Donaldson is one of the hottest hitters in MLB right now, so he took this opportunity to get a little screen time and submit his audition tape for “Magic Mike XXXL”.

Even in the midst of a comeback against the Rangers, John Gibbons didn’t look too thrilled about the turn of events.

But then once he got back into the visiting manager’s office, Gibby was all smiles (and winks).

BONUS VINE: John Gibbons was asked what his team’s key was, and he responded by saying this. At this point, I’m starting to think he may be trolling the reporters.
