Blue Jays Playoff Tickets Will Go On Sale Soon

Get ready to crack open your purse, open your wallets and call your credit card company and ask them to increase your limit … because Toronto Blue Jays playoff tickets will go on sale soon.

Earlier today, the Toronto Blue Jays released a few details about postseason ticket sales, which will begin this week.

According to a press release from the Blue Jays, Season Ticket holders will get the first crack on August 26th, followed by the first round of Flex Pack holders on September 2nd (who purchased on or before December 5th, 2014).

That will be followed by the second round of Flex Pack holders on September 4th (who purchased after December 5th, 2014). Then 6ix Pack holders will get a chance to buy on September 8th and 2016 Season Ticket holders can buy as of September 10th.

Then if any seats remain, they will go on sale to the general public as of September 23rd. I can’t imagine very many (if any) tickets will still be available, but if the Blue Jays open up the 200 Level Porch to ticket sales, anything is still possible.

500 Outfield $50 $150 $100 $400 $180 $640 $1,190

As far as playoff tickets go, the Blue Jays’ prices seem fairly reasonable. Tickets range from as low as $50 dollars for a Wild Card game all the way up to $1400 dollars for an “In the Action” seat for a World Series game.

The caveat here being that you can’t really pick and choose the games and series that you want to go to. You basically have to purchase a strip for the entire postseason of games. And prices are only for one seat, where most people will be looking to purchase at least two.

Keep in mind, the entire postseason price accounts for every potential home game that could be played at the Rogers Centre during the playoffs; this means a Wild Card game, a full five-game ALDS, a full seven-game ALCS and a full seven-game World Series.

These ticket prices account for a maximum of 11 home playoff games throughout the postseason. So those final prices are reflective if the Blue Jays go the entire distance through the playoffs and play a full series every round.

I’ll admit, it’s a bit of sticker shock to see some of these entire postseason strip prices, but this is what we’ve been waiting for, right? After 22 years, I’m pretty much ready to lay down whatever it costs to get into a postseason game … and I’m sure plenty others are willing to do the same.

But if you put away $39.40 each day between now and the regular season, you’ll have enough to buy a full playoff strip in the 500 Level Outfield seats. So start scrounging and saving!
