There’s a Jose Bautista Bat Flip Sand Sculpture at the CNE
By now, you’ve probably heard about the Jose Bautista bat flip corn maze at Hunter Brothers in New Brunswick. Now, there’s another re-creation of that momentous ALDS play, but on a much smaller scale and it’s made out of sand instead of stalks of corn.
If you’ve ventured to this year’s CNE, you may have noticed a familiar face at the International Sand Sculpting Competition. Yes, it’s a sand sculpture of Jose Bautista’s bat flip, as created by Peter Volgelaar from Canada.
Thanks to @SueEllenBaldwin for bringing this to light. Incredibly … Volgelaar’s sculpture didn’t win the competition. But hat tip to @SueEllenBaldwin, @AalyssaCohen and @PaulaJR34 for posting these pictures of said sand sculpture at the CNE.
