The Blue Jays All Have Matching Bathrobes

The team that naps together apparently also has matching bathrobes together.

Following their 11-5 victory over the New York Yankees, the Toronto Blue Jays sported some matching blue bathrobes during their postgame interviews.

But these aren’t just any bathrobes; these were purchased by David Price. John Lott of the National Post has more on the club’s new comfortable attire:

“Among the new teammates he met was fellow reliever LaTroy Hawkins, who was wearing a plush blue bathrobe, fashioned after his uniform, with his name and number on the back.

David Price — new Jay, ace pitcher and social convener — had ordered robes for everybody on the club.”

First, the media spoke to David Price; the man himself who was the catalyst for the entire matching blue bathrobes.

David Price meets the media in his new Blue Jays robe. He bought one for each teammate too.

Followed by Russell Martin, who looks quite comfortable in his new team attire.

I for one can’t wait until the Blue Jays next homestand next weekend, because hopefully this means we’ll see fans in the stands sporting big, fuzzy blue bathrobes.

Also, for the record … matching bathrobes are a much more dignified method of team bonding apparel than onesies.
