Reflecting on the 2009 Blue Jays
There are a lot of things that the Toronto Blue Jays can take away from this season. Whether it was starting the year at the top of the division or ending the year being swept by the Baltimore Orioles, at least the Blue Jays kept us entertained throughout the long and grueling 162 game schedule.
Below is a collection of some of my favourite moments from this past season. Enjoy!
Ian, amazing links. A great look into what was one crazy season. Respect.
I honestly can't remember ever having a season of so many ups and downs. A lot of really great things happened this year so there is a lot to look forward to next year. I already miss them…
eyeB, thank you! It really was a crazy ride, and I look forward to doing it all over again next year.
Mattt, this year it seemed like there was a lot of outside media attention on the Blue Jays (Halladay, Citogate, the basebrawl). It was memorable to say the least!
BJH, I tip my hat on another season of unmitigated pain, but ultimately, fun year of bloggage from you.
we need to the team to commit to fight the red sox and yankees once a season every season! doc vs ortiz would have been sweet!
great post BJH! let the off season speculation rumpus begin!
BK, I was also glad to see that there is someone else out there who is as enthralled with the Melonheads as I am. I think we should nominate them as fans of the year (not the fake umps).
woodpeck, I have a feeling that bad blood between the Red Sox and the Blue Jays is not over. The first game they play next year, there will almost certainly be a beaning. I hope it's Halladay who does it again.
