Opening Day is kind of like this new TV series you’re waiting to watch. Everyone tells you how great it’s going to be, but you reserve judgement until you can see it for yourself. Then you watch the first episode and still aren’t sure what to expect.

That’s what Opening Day is like.

There were a few takeaways and standout performances from the game; namely from Marco Estrada and Jose Bautista. I touch on that in this week’s podcast, plus the Blue Jays’ decision to release Melvin Upton Jr.
