Opening Day is kind of like this new TV series you’re waiting to watch. Everyone tells you how great it’s going to be, but you reserve judgement until you can see it for yourself. Then you watch the first episode and still aren’t sure what to expect.

That’s what Opening Day is like.

There were a few takeaways and standout performances from the game; namely from Marco Estrada and Jose Bautista. I touch on that in this week’s podcast, plus the Blue Jays’ decision to release Melvin Upton Jr.

This episode is 26 minutes and 55 seconds long and is sponsored this week by Ticket Liquidator.

Ian Hunter

Ian has been writing about the Toronto Blue Jays since 2007. He enjoyed the tail-end of the Roy Halladay era and vividly remembers the Alex Rodriguez "mine" incident. He'll also retell the story of Game 5 of the ALDS to his kids for the next 20 years.
