Former Blue Jays Spring Training

David Price Arrived to Spring Training in a Marcus Stroman HDMH Hat

It’s that time of year … pitchers and catchers are slowly making their way to their respective Spring Training camps. And although the official reporting date for many teams isn’t until later this week, many stars are already in Florida and Arizona.

He may not be a member of the Toronto Blue Jays anymore, but David Price reported to Red Sox Spring Training camp earlier today, and he did so with a tie the Toronto Blue Jays; he was wearing a cap designed by his former teammate, Marcus Stroman.

Of course, Marcus Stroman has his very own line of New Era HDMH caps, and David Price opted to pay homage to Stro by sporting an HDMH cap in this interview with NESN.

By all accounts, these guys are still pretty close and this is merely one friend supporting another. But from a fan’s perspective, it’s the equivalent of showing up to your new boyfriend or girlfriend’s house wearing your ex’s clothes.

Ian has been writing about the Toronto Blue Jays since 2007. He enjoyed the tail-end of the Roy Halladay era and vividly remembers the Alex Rodriguez “mine” incident. He’ll also retell the story of Game 5 of the ALDS to his kids for the next 20 years.
