GIFS: Kevin Pillar Makes an Unbelievable Catch
It may still be extremely early in the season, but we may already have a candidate for catch of the year … potentially even one of the best catches ever made at the Rogers Centre.
Kevin Pillar has been playing some incredible defense in left field so far for the Blue Jays this season, and this play was probably the best of his career. Check out the GIFS below of the multiple angles of the catch.

Pillar’s catch will naturally draw comparisons to Rajai Davis’ wall-scaling grab back in 2012. While Davis’ timing was uncanny on his catch, I’d actually say the degree of difficulty for Pillar was actually a little higher because he had to cover so much ground.
