VIDEO: Josh Donaldson Talks About the Toughest Pitch He’s Faced

Press junkets are simply part of the game when it comes to the MLB All-Star festivities. But for whatever reason, the players seem to loosen up and have a little more fun with reporters this week.

MLB.com sent their intrepid youth reporters to interview the many stars, including the Toronto Blue Jays’ Josh Donaldson. He had some pretty interesting answers when asked about his favourite player of all-time, his favourite minor league memory, and the toughest pitch he’s ever faced.

One of MLB’s youth reporters asked Donaldson about the toughest pitch he’s ever faced. Josh recalled a particularly tough pitch earlier this season from Dellin Betances.

Although he may have been off by one mile per hour, Donaldson was right about how tough these pitches were; a pair of 101 MPH heaters up and in from Betances. As evidenced by the pitch GIFS below, these things were unhittable.
