GIF: The Blue Jays Rocket Up the Standings
What a difference two weeks can make.
Just two weeks ago, the Toronto Blue Jays were on the outside looking in for a playoff spot; seven games back of the Yankees for first place in the American League East and three games back of a Wild Card spot.
As of today, the Blue Jays have now trimmed the gap to only 1.5 games back of the Yankees and the Jays now occupy the first Wild Card spot by a half game over the Los Angeles Angels.

In this regard, it’s remarkable to see just how fast the Blue Jays have closed the gap on their competition; not only on the Wild Card teams, but the Yankees as well.

That is great, the movement in the MLB and Fangraphs projected standings is even greater. I would love to see that.
