I just wanted to let you all know things will be a little quiet around here for the next few days, as I will be trekking up to our nation’s capital to take in some Canada Day festivities.
Until then, have a safe Canada Day and Go Jays Go!
Ian has been writing about the Toronto Blue Jays since 2007. He enjoyed the tail-end of the Roy Halladay era and vividly remembers the Alex Rodriguez "mine" incident. He'll also retell the story of Game 5 of the 2015 ALDS to his kids for the next 20 years.
Hope you bring along a radio to catch some Blue Jay/Yankee action. You're still in the hunt; and depending on what happens you could move up a few games. (Minnesota has to beat Tampa Bay.)
By the way, speaking of Baseball on the radio remind me to tell you about a trip to the World's Fair in 1964 sometime.
Thanks Mattt, it was a very cool experience during Canada Day. I've never been there during the celebrations and it was unlike anything I've ever seen.
Cliff, it was kind of a self-imposed baseball vacation for myself, but I couldn't help but tune in at various points during the game today. It's funny because even though the Jays are only a game over .500, they aren't THAT far out of the division lead.
Albeit they'll have to play incredibly well against the Yanks/Sox this month to make up any ground.
Happy Canada Day to you as well Ian. Enjoy Ottawa. I always have a great time there and I'm sure you will too…
Have fun!
