Josh Donaldson on MLB Network Talks “The Play”, Playing in the AL East and More

It’s several days after the fact, but folks are still talking about Josh Donaldson’s jaw-dropping play at Tropicana Field from earlier in the week.

He spoke with MLB Network’s “The Rundown” just a few days ago about the play itself and where he thinks it ranks in his own personal highlight reel.

You can tell Donaldson was trying to be modest, but when asked about whose play was better; his or Joc Pederson’s from earlier in the week, he responded with this very salient point:

“I would compare it as one person was on the field and one person was off the field.”

They also discussed a number of other topics, and Donaldson wisely sidestepped a question by Carlos Pena when asked what he would do to improve the Blue Jays right now. The full interview is in its entirety below.

Also, if you watch closely, you’ll notice Munenori Kawasaki lurking in the background holding an umbrella sign encouraging fans to vote Josh Donaldson into the MLB All-Star Game.
